Homemade Genius Schedules July 8 Show

| Greenwood, SC - A new event in 2006 in Uptown Greenwood continues to grow and gain regional praise. The Homemade Genius Music and Art Series has announced its third gathering in Uptown Greenwood for Saturday, July 8 from Noon to 10:30 PM. This announcement follows two successful gatherings held March 31 and May 12. |

Homemade Genius creator Ian Morris recently said in an Index Journal interview that "I wanted to do something to make people come out again" in Uptown. Numbers show that Morris has been successful. Each previous event has averaged attendance around 300.
In addition to getting people on the streets in Uptown, the event gives local and regional artists and musicians an opportunity to express their creativity.
Plans are still being finalized for the July 8 show. Performances will be held outdoors in Uptown and at the new Arts Center at the Federal Building. The art show will be featured at the Federal Building featuring numerous local and regional artisans. 13 Musicians and bands scheduled to perform include Elf Power, The John Banks Trio, The Still Small Voice and Joyful Noise, and Margo.
